Who is beytbun?
beytbun is a Chicago-based coffee and mocktail cart co-founded by two best friends whose childhood dream was to open their own café (or bafe — a café and bookstore).
Inspired by their Habasha roots, they took a leap of faith and started their mobile cart in July of 2025. Their philosophy ties culture, coffee, and care together, a commitment reflected in their house-made syrups and drink bases crafted thoughtfully without preservatives or shortcuts.

Meet Zainab and Raheeq, two cousins who spontaneously decided to bring their childhood dreams to life in the summer of 2025. Ever since they were little, their love for food and serving people manifested in their childhood sleepovers where they’d cook up breakfasts for the family. Their passions went as far as inventing their own word: bafe, to encompass the labor of love they hoped to open one day. Their dream is to open their own cafe (or bafe) in their hometown Chicago one day.

Meet Zainab and Raheeq, two cousins who spontaneously decided to bring their childhood dreams to life in the summer of 2025.
